Well... they say a picture is worth 1000 words... I figure these can speak well enough on their own .



Incredible come from behind dramatic victories, total domination, and record, after record, after record pretty much smashed to oblivion without a second thought. China may be dominating these olympics overall, but the US swim team is currently in the process of both making history and leaving a visible line in the dirt.


Aaron Peirsol, Ryan Lochte, and Michael Phelps... three names synonymous with athletic achievement, and three names that may quite possibly go down as being key players in one of the greatest assembled dream teams of competitive swimming in the history of the US program. Just the sheer talent alone on this team can (at least up to this point) account for more than half the gold medals the US has racked up thus far.
And yes, although I realize there is no 'I' in 'Team'... there is in fact a Michael in this one. And having watched him just recently acquire a mind-boggling 6th gold medal in these Olympics (and 12 overall)... the prospect of him reaching that magical number of 8 golds in one Olympics has already begun to solidify him as a living athletic legend. Great jobs guys... Congrats .
