Gareth Pugh

British designer Gareth Pugh recommends you go full 'Tron' this season. His futuristic collection offers a pair of sharply cut wide-leg pants that fall over the foot in a great line, and a structured vest with strong architectural details, both a silvery gray, just like the background naked décor. A foiled look follows, then another gray ensemble, wispy and soft. The jackets are beautifully tailored, with trim molded lines, and the silk ensembles show a softer and prettier side of Gareth Pugh’s subversive vision. Flowing kimono shapes are cut from a nylon printed with aluminum to give an extraordinary two-way mirror effect. Scales of rubberized neoprene added a snaky futurism to tops and pants. GP pulled off a feat of cutting in tunics he calls 'modular', the same front and back. And, keen as he was to avoid the sci-fi tag that has been continually attached to his clothes, he still displays sinuous silvery pieces that cling to the body like 31st-century armor.
