I Love Patrick Wilson

I can't say enough about this actor. Easily very high up there in my favorites category. The guy can act, the guy can sing, the guy can dance... and he's incredibly handsome both on and off screen. His parents' genes must have hit the jackpot :-)

Wilson started out doing stage work, and his first got really noticed playing the role of Closeted gay Republican Joe Pitt in the six part series 'Angels in America', a role for which he was nominated for a Golden Globe and an Emmy. Due to his early success he's had a numerous lead roles including great parts in two of my favorite movies, Hard Candy and Little Children. Both are extremely well written, directed, and very well acted... and oddly enough both of movies have to do with the theme of pedophilia in one way or another (albeit with Hard Candy putting a unique inverted twist on the whole theme). All three of these movies I can't say enough about them. I highly recommend either renting or downloading them if you're interested in good dramatic acting.

Overall I think he's an outstanding actor, and his screen presence just has something about it that I can't place my finger on. His body definitely matches his face (which is very much evident in Angels in America, and the sex scenes with Kate Winslet in Little Children... ).

He actually has several film projects in production at the moment... the most interesting of these I think, will be his role in the comic-to-film adaptation of Watchmen. That's not till 2009 though... let's hope the wait will be worth it.
