The architectural and streamline collection Spanish designer Diego David Domínguez González aka David Delfín sent down the runway was beautiful and elegant. The subtle colors of royal blue, black and white were masterfully challenged by the colorful belts. The belts bound the collection together with the theme, safety. For this season's collection entitled "Tautology", Davidelfin’s aesthetics explores the seemingly countless ways to express a single idea. The same concepts, only translated into different forms and seen through new eyes. Known for his experimental approach to design, David Delfín deconstructs and re-builds silhouettes, and incorporates simple but different fabrics throughout the collection, to bring this notion of repetition with a twist to the forefront. The vertical half and three-quarter shirts showed how something had been destroyed whereas the belts were shown as the thing holding not only the clothes, in itself, together but, again, the entire collection. Season after season, the Andalusian designer’s signature disassembled ensembles continue to gain recognition and support. This offering reinforces his true talent, not only as a designer, but as an artist.
