Alexander McQueen - Savage Beauty

The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York will host a new exhibition celebrating the work of fashion designer Alexander McQueen, who died in February 2010. The exhibition will celebrate the Briton's extensive contributions to fashion, from his Central Saint Martins postgraduate collection to his final runway presentation, which took place after his death last year.
"Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty" will open on May 4 and run until July 31, 2011. An eponymous coffee table book will focus on the most iconic and acclaimed designs of his prolific career, examining Alexander McQueen's inimitable technical virtuosity and its subversion of traditional tailoring and dressmaking practices. The book is set to release on May 31, 2011, with a pre-order now in effect on Amazon (here).
