Congrats to Ryan Lochte

Congratulations to the loveable Lochte on his well-deserved victory at the Grand Prix swim meet in Santa Clara earlier this month. Not only did he manage to secure the men's high-point award for his overall performance at the meet, but he did so beating his half-man half-dolphin teamate in the men's 100m backstroke.

The way things are going, perhaps Ryan might just get the recognition he deserves come time for the London Olympics in 2012?

Well... unfortunately I'm not willing to wait that long, so I'll be more than happy to give recognition ahead of time

. Oh, and yes he's not really trying, but he still looks absolutely fantastic. Where oh where are those underwear modeling shots we were promised

Matt Lanter's Rising Star

A gorgeous face, an awesome smile, beautiful eyes, and a super sexy voice... just what doesn't 26 year-old super hot actor Matt Lanter have

For those of you who've never heard of him it might be just that, name recognition. Granted he's been on about half a dozen or more shows (and a couple of movies) since being unceremoniously rejected from Bravo's reality TV model search back in 2004. But none of those have really offered that breakout role worthy of lifting Matt out of fangirl/boy obscurity.

Well all that's set to change later this fall... or technically it started changing back in April after signing with a new publicist and guest starring on the CW's remake of 90210. But it's really set to change when he returns this fall as a regular cast member on that show.

And if Season 1's finale last month is anything to go by, I think Matt might just be a new highlight for a show I might've otherwise avoided like the plague

...

On a side note, I do find it somewhat interesting how Matt's seemingly been typecast as a 'bad boy' in a number of guest appearances since playing the abusive jock on Heroes. Maybe it's just me, but 'bad boy' isn't exactly the first thing that comes to mind when I think of Matt.

I kind lean more towards Just Beautiful... but then again that's just me

...

Anyhow, Matt's got two 'interesting' upcoming projects... coincidentally enough, one where he might be playing a 'bad boy'/stalker-killer (if rumors are to be believed) and another starring opposite Never Back Down/Twilight hottie Cam Gigandet (which I'm really looking forward to

)...

So yeah, 2010 might just be the breakout year for this utterly gorgeous model-reject turned actor (who just happens to still model every now and again). And I think it's well overdue

... Let's just hope he stays away from any Disaster movie sequels

...

Matt Lanter chases the Dream...

Quick guys, I need an excuse to place a super sexy actor in a film... He's gotta be a hunk-next-door/totally oblivious to his good looks-type who just happens to be incredibly talented yet also somewhat misguided... Got any ideas?

What's that you say? He should be a skater?... No wait a figure skater? Hm

... Oh and he has to star opposite an ambitious counterpart who's totally into him yet also playing hard to get. Sounds like a tall order, I think I've got just the right guy in mind

...

Ok, so I'll be honest and say it outright... The made for TV movie The Cutting Edge 3 isn't exactly one of my favorite films. But I figured it had some merit seeing as I'm still in a Lanter kind of mood

. This film originally aired on ABC Family, and as you can imagine the shirtlessness is somewhat limited compared to its predecessor... But Matt Lanter's presence is enough to lift this movie into eyecandy overdrive so I figure it's worth checking out. You can purchase The Cutting Edge 3: Chasing the Dream off Amazon.

Ah yes, I've always been a sucker for gorgeous eyes

...

But perhaps even moreso when those eyes just happen to match one of my three favorite colors (evidently more than enough present in the layout of this blog

)...

Judging from the gorgeous subject of these shots, I'd he's perhaps either one of the hottest busboys I've ever laid eyes on, or he's a waiter deserving of an adequate tip. Either way he looks like a potential model in the wrong profession

The last of the true global icons...

Is now resting once and forevermore. Unique, incredibly talented, deeply troubled, and ultimately a tragic figure. In spite of what some might say or think about Michael this past decade, the fact remains he is indeed one of the greatest musical talents to ever grace this earth... and for that, I deeply respect his achievements over his 39 years of performing in the spotlight.

I'd like to think maybe out there somewhere up in the night sky, there's a man now walking on the moon

... RIP King of Pop, you'll be missed but not forgotten.

Dashing SoCal Beauty

Although I've never had the opportunity to travel out to Southern California, from what I've heard, the weather's gorgeous pretty much all year round

...

Beautiful weather, beautiful people, and beautiful beaches... in this case specifically beautiful Newport Beach out in Orange County, CA. Home to one of my all-time favorite photographers... And apparently also home to a certain incredibly intelligent and dashing 19 year-old college student/model by the name of Robert R.

Impeccable beauty... I'd even go as far as to say almost akin to a vintage movie star...

Robert is anything but old-fashioned though... And if his current major in mechanical engineering major with aspirations of advancing the field of nanotechnology is anything to go by, then this abitious free-spirit clearly has his eyes dead-set on the future...

And from the looks of things, the future looks quite promising... whether engineering or modeling... Oh, and might add gorgeous Robert riding on a hot bike? I'd like to say James Dean, but I think Robert looks just a little hotter
